Hoo Are You ?

1. Are you married/in a relationship/single? For how long?

I've been married for 18 months and started dating my husband 2 years and 8 months ago. 

2. What do you do for a living? Do you enjoy it?

I used to work in an In-Home Daycare with 16 children, but I quit in October to spend more time with my family and to find a more personal position. Well, now I have my own Child care business where I 'nanny' for three families part time. I <3 it. I get to take my daughter with me to play with other children and I still get to spend time with her. I also <3 the kiddos. They are amazing. I feel like I get to know the children so much better and give them much better care now that I can devote more one on one time to them. 

3. In what state do you live? Where were you born and raised?

I live in Illinois about 15 minutes from the hospital where I was born and about 15 minutes from both of my parents houses where I was raised. I haven't gone far :) 

4. Do you have children? If so, how many? If not, do you want them?

I have one daughter. She is 15 months old. I <3 her to pieces. 
This is her the day after her 1st birthday. She demolishes cake.

 

 

5. Who is your favorite blogger to follow and why? 

There is no way I could pick just one . But I can tell you my first !

I wear glasses and have for  about thirteen years.

Uh .....

5. Did you graduate high school from the town you grew up in?

The next town over. Mine was too little to have a high school. 

New Bows Up @ Etsy !

WLB Progress

So, This was the first week of the Win Lose or Blog competition . 

I did pretty well this week. I went to the gym three days this week and did almost 8 miles. 

I stayed under my calorie goal every day but one. 

I ended my week with a 2.2 % weight loss, which I am super excited about. 

Monograms

So ... tonight I decided to take another swing at this Silhouette thing ... 

My husband got a Nook for Christmas and I bought a Nook Color with my Christmas money ((which our little girl loves to read the kid stories on by the way )) and I decided to make a little something something for our covers, after my husband brought up the idea actually. 

His came out pretty good on the first shot. His initials are JMH. 

 I went through about 4 designs to get mine down. I had to find a font that didn't make the S or M's lines too small. The vinyl was shredding and the Silhouette was having issues cutting the teeny tiny lines. I am happy with the way it turned out though. My initials are MSH. 

I finally did it !

I used my Silhouette for the 1st time ! 

Yay ! 

I used it tonight to make some cute designs for a Valentine's Day Frame and added a photo of my husband and I .

Exciting News !

I have been struggling with my weight for several years now, especially in the past year after I had our beautiful little girl.

I have been looking for something to inspire me to stick with a plan and work continuously to get healthy so that I can be a better mommy and wife and feel better !

Well, last night I found out that I have been selected to be one of eight women who will be participating in this season of Win, Lose, or Blog starting on January 10th! I am thrilled and can not wait to get started !
