Our Tree Skirt

I made our tree a skirt with two fabrics that I just had at the house that I wasn't going to use. It isn't really the color, size, or fabric that I want our tree skirt to be, but I've already decided that I'm going to make a new one next year and plan ahead a little more. I made this one earlier this week in about an hour.

This is the main fabric.

 And the Red Trim ...

And here it is all wrinkled  under the tree . . . I guess I'll have to fix that.

  4. I think it's very nice and in fact I'm thrilled to see it because it looks just like what i have imagined for out new tree (just a different color way). Our newest tree is all white and I decorated it in all blue, we already had 3 green trees so hubby was willing to let me do my artsy thing with the white one :o)

I pondered whether to do the skirt in all white or all blue but then I was putting away a pool float (yeah, I'm a bit behind) and I noticed how nice it looked against our tree (it was similar to your tree skirt only with blue instead of red) now after seeing your tree skirt I am certain that I want to do mine white with the blue ring... so thanks for the inspiration :o) Hopefully I'll have it done before Christmas 2010 is over.

  5. I LOVE your tree skirt! It's so simple and clean looking, and that main fabric is to die for. I featured you today on my favorite things :)
